KWB: Understanding Arctic Energy Alliance Rebates in the NWT

The Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) is running a pilot project to provide rebates to businesses that are constructing new, energy-efficient buildings or that are upgrading existing buildings to be energy-efficient in the Northwest Territories.

For existing buildings, rebates of up to $50,000 are available based on either the total eligible costs of your project or a calculation based on the amount of money and greenhouse gases that your project will save.

For new buildings, rebates of $65 per square meter of floor area up to $50,000 are available for reaching specific energy-saving targets, and AEA will provide advice to help you make your building energy efficient.
